DIRECTIONS TO 545 GRANT BLVD, SYRACUSE

Grant Blvd. runs south from Court Street then turns to run east to Teall Ave before ending pointing southeast at James Street in Eastwood.

The 500 block is just west of Teall Avenue
545 is a white house right on the inside of the curve, the side that actually has houses instead of graves and tombstones.

5/9 is an ODD day -- Parking is on the ODD side of the street.
There is NO parking between 545 Grant Blvd and Teall Ave.
Coming from the west, you must park BEFORE you get to the bend (and thus the house)
It really is quite far. Sorry.

From Citadel Broadcasting Syracuse

  • Turn right out of the parking lot onto James Street.
  • Proceed through the first two lights, pass Sedgwick, then turn left onto Durston Ave (immediately before the next light).
  • Follow Durston to the end; turn right onto Grant Blvd.
  • Park.
  • The house is the 5th house on your right after Wheaton Road (6th house if you count the one technically on Wheaton).
  • If you hit Teall Avenue, you've gone too far - turn around.
  • If no parking is available close to the house, you can turn right onto Wheaton, but you will be facing the wrong direction to park.

From Eastwood

  • Follow James Street to Grant Blvd, located at the western end of Eastwood. Turn onto Grant Blvd.
  • When you approach the traffic light at Teall Ave, you must be in the center lane to proceed straight ahead.
  • House is the 3rd house on the left.
  • You are facing the wrong direction to park. Pass the house and turn around, or turn onto Wheaton Road. Be sure to park on the ODD side.

From Grant Blvd. & Court St.

  • Follow Grant Blvd south to Butternut St.. Turn right onto Butternut, then the immediate left to rejoin Grant Blvd.
  • There are several traffic lights in the business section, then no lights as it becomes residential.
  • Once you see the cemetery on your left, start watching for Wheaton Road to be on your right, immediately after Durston.
  • Park.
  • The house is the 5th house on your right after Wheaton Road (6th house if you count the one technically on Wheaton)
  • If you hit Teall Avenue, you've gone too far - turn around.
  • If no parking is available close to the house, you can turn right onto Wheaton, but you will be facing the wrong direction to park.

From I-690

  • Take Exit 14 (Teall Avenue), turn toward the hill on Teall (follow signs to James Street, coming from the west, turn left, from the east, turn right)
  • Go straight through the intersection and lights at Burnet Ave.
  • Continue up the hill, Once you're on the hill, start counting lights... Pass 4 lights (3rd light will be James Street)
  • Turn Left at your 5th light, which is Grant Blvd. (There is a Mobil gas station on the corner)
  • House is the 3rd house on the left.
  • You are facing the wrong direction to park. Pass the house and turn around, or turn onto Wheaton Road. Be sure to park on the ODD side.

From North of Syracuse or South of Downtown

  • Follow I-81 toward the city to I-690 East
  • Follow directions from I-690.
